FAQ

Answers to common questions about renting a car.

Booking

We recommend it: you will have more choice and can be sure to get the car you want, especially from October to April. If you decide to rent a car once you are already in Phuket, check availability on the site or message us and we will find a car for you.

No, you pay for the rental when you receive the car. We only ask for an advance payment for long bookings (from 1 month) and for peak dates.

We work on a first-come, first-served basis: the newest car goes to whoever books first, and we do our best to keep the model you booked. But we cannot guarantee the exact make, colour, year or mileage in advance, as a car may break down. In that case we will offer a similar car of the same class, a higher-class car at no extra charge, a lower-class car with a refund of the difference, or a car from our partners. If none is available, we will refund the unused days.

Yes. Contact us as soon as you know how many extra days you need and we will check that the car is available. An extension of 1–2 days is paid when you return the car; for 3 days or more our staff will meet you on the last day of the current rental to collect the payment.

Yes. If the rental is paid, unused days are refunded as follows:

  • cancellation more than 48 hours in advance — full refund;
  • less than 48 hours — one day of rental is charged;
  • less than 24 hours — two days of rental are charged.

See "Cancellation and early return" in our rental terms for details.

The booster seat is designed for children from 9 months to 12 years, the convertible seat — from 1 month to 12 years.

Documents

Your passport and driving licence — originals and copies. We do not keep your original documents.

You need your national driving licence plus an International Driving Permit.

No. You cannot rent or drive a car with a copy of your driving licence: the fine for driving without a licence is up to 50,000 ฿.

Delivery

Our delivery team works Mon — Sat, 10:00 — 18:00. At other times:

  • 07:00 — 10:00 and 18:00 — 22:00 — on request, 500 ฿ extra;
  • 22:01 — 06:59 — no delivery or collection: we will bring or collect the car during the next working hours, and our driver will take you to your hotel or the airport.

One way: if you rent a car for more than 10 days — 1,000 ฿ during the day and 1,200 ฿ at night (21:00 — 06:00); otherwise 1,450 and 1,650 ฿.

Our Thai staff member, who speaks English, delivers the car and helps you with the paperwork. The agreement is in English and Thai, and we provide safety instructions. If you have any questions, call us on +66 660 600 699 (WhatsApp, Viber, Line).

At pick-up our staff inspect and photograph the car with you and note any damage, the fuel level, the deposit and the rental amount in the agreement; you keep a copy. At return the car condition and fuel level are checked against the agreement.

With a full or almost full tank; the level is noted in the agreement. Return the car with the same level or pay for the missing fuel based on the full-tank price stated in the agreement.

On the road

Yes, Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is included with every car: third-party liability, damage and theft cover with an excess, and medical expenses for the driver, passengers and third parties. See our rental terms for details.

No, we only offer insurance with an excess: the rental is cheaper this way, and experience shows a zero excess makes drivers less careful. If nothing happens through your fault, you get the full deposit back.

  • Driving without a licence — up to 50,000 ฿.
  • Unfastened seat belt — 400 ฿.
  • Talking on the phone while driving — 400 ฿.
  • Wrong parking — 400 ฿.
  • Running a red light — 1,000 ฿.

If a wheel is clamped for wrong parking, take the ticket from the windscreen, go to the nearest police station by taxi and pay the fine — the clamp will be removed.

  1. Call us right away: +66 660 600 699.
  2. Take photos and video of the scene and the vehicles.
  3. Do not move the car until the police or insurance officer allow it. If it blocks traffic, move it only after taking photos and video.
  4. Smile — it does work here.

Going to a bar or club? Take a taxi: accident investigations at night take 2–3 times longer, and insurance does not cover you if alcohol is detected.
